Diamond Packaging’s state-of-the-art printing presses feature the latest in coating technologies, including a flexo coating unit on the front and back ends. This creates visual and haptic effects that add distinction to packaging, ensuring your brand wins at the First Moment of Truth (FMOT).
Flexo Coating Units
Diamond's state-of-the-art Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 and XL 105 offset printing presses feature the latest in coating technologies, including a flexo coating unit upfront (to lay down eco-friendly metallic effects) and a dual flexo coating unit on the end to apply UV, aqueous, or specialty coatings.
The flexographic coating system features:
- Chambered blade (better and more consistent results)
- Combination clamping system (fast changing from coating blanket to coating plate)
Flexo Inks and Coatings
Diamond utilizes flexo inks and coatings in the flexo coating dispersion units (in various anilox roller configurations), to produce an impressive range of special effects, including:
- Metallic
- Pearlescent
- Embossed
- Soft touch
- Glitter
- Textured
The specialty UV coatings can often be combined to create stunning effects that highlight different colors, shapes, dimensions, or textures.
