Rochester, NY – Bausch & Lomb presented its Women-Owned Business Enterprise Supplier of the Year award to Diamond Packaging during a ceremony at Bausch & Lomb World Headquarters on March 20, 2007.
The awards, presented as part of Bausch & Lomb’s Supplier Diversity Development Program, recognize significant contributions made by suppliers and employees of the company towards Bausch & Lomb's commitment to building relationships with diverse suppliers, including minority-owned, women-owned and other diverse enterprises.
“Bausch & Lomb’s quality standards and suppliers have helped us bring to market the world’s most comprehensive portfolio of eye health products,” said DeRoy Bryant, vice president – Global Sourcing & Procurement. “Diamond Packaging is a key partner, consistently demonstrating excellence by providing us with the high levels of quality, service and technology that allow us to better serve our customers and stay on the leading edge in a competitive marketplace.”
Bausch & Lomb believes that their corporation and the communities in which they operate benefit from sourcing practices that capitalize on the unique skills, knowledge, creativity, and talent that having a diverse supply base offers. Senior leadership is responsible for ensuring a culture that fosters equal opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and other diverse enterprises. They seek the most capable suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and technology on a global basis, and will utilize contract awards to a diverse supply base as one of the metrics on which each of their operating organizations is measured.
Bausch & Lomb's Supplier Diversity Development Program identifies diverse suppliers in order to expand the company’s ability to exceed customers’ expectations with world-class quality, service, cost and technology. Consequently, their suppliers are expected to:
- Provide 100% on-time delivery and quality performance
