Javits Convention Center in New York, NY. Diamond submitted two packages for consideration in the HBA International Package Design Awards competition, including the Stetson Gift Set in the Fragrance – Mass Distribution category and the Love, Chic Baby™ carton in the Fragrance – Limited Distribution category.
Diamond created a gift set carton for Coty's legendary Stetson fragrance that is as bold and original as the product.
The French straight tuck carton features a combination of foil stamping and embossing that serves to augment the subtle graphic design. The entire front panel was stamped with gold foil prior to printing and embossing. The embossed paisley pattern and Stetson logo above the die cut window combine with a micro-embossed pattern around the perimeter of the carton to create a unique visual and tactile presentation, suggestive of the rugged individualism of the American West.
Love, Chic Baby™ is the first pair of luxurious fresh baby scents designed exclusively for little girls and boys and for those who want to pamper them.
Diamond utilized special printing and finishing techniques to create a carton that captures the essence of the product.
The carton features scallop-shaped die cutting around the perimeter of the sleeve, as well as heart-shaped die cuts on the carton top closure panel and the liner insert. The sleeve is further enhanced with multi-level embossing around the Chic Baby™ logo.
The attractive graphics were achieved by offset printing three colors in-line with UV gloss coating and glass pearl coating, which adds stunning glitter effects. The liner features front and back side printing with an overall satin varnish.
Diamond will be exhibiting these as well as other innovative designs, including its Diamondessence™ combination packaging, new folding carton designs to leverage brand equity and deliver maximum impact on store shelves.
Diamondessence™ combination packaging incorporates a wide variety of styles and materials that truly set products apart from their competition. The plastic and paperboard structures deliver maximum product visibility and package integrity, while dramatically showcasing the products inside.
Several designs integrate plastic as the primary substrate to provide a three-dimensional view of the product inside. Other designs feature custom die cuts that leverage the primary container's logo or shape, thus enhancing brand identity.
